Terms of Use
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and NextGenSystems AI Solutions LLC, a Texas limited liability company (“we”, “us”, “our”), the developer of the VoiceType keyboard app for Android (the “Service”). By downloading, installing or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Your use of Google Play is also governed by Google's own terms.
2. Your account
- Typing and voice dictation work without an account. An account (an e-mail address and password) keeps your prompt, personal dictionary, typing corrections and dictation history on your other devices. Give accurate information and keep your password secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
- The same sign-in is shared with the developer's other apps, To-Do List and GenAI Studio. Deleting the account deletes it for all of them.
- You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live — or have a parent or guardian agree to these Terms for you.
3. Subscription and free trial
- Typing is free. Voice dictation requires the VoiceType Monthly auto-renewing subscription, priced at US$1.00 per month (or the equivalent price shown in Google Play in your country; local prices vary).
- Free trial. New subscribers receive a 1-week free trial. Trial eligibility is determined by Google Play.
- Payment. Payment is charged to your Google Play payment method at confirmation of purchase, or when the free trial ends. Purchases are made through Google Play Billing.
- Auto-renewal. The subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel it. Cancel any time before the end of the current period to avoid the next charge.
- Manage or cancel in the Google Play Store → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, or from the app (Account → Manage subscription). Uninstalling the app or deleting your account does not cancel your subscription.
- Forfeited trial time. Any unused portion of a free trial ends when you purchase a subscription.
- Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policies; you can request one through Google Play.
- Price changes. If the price changes, Google Play will notify you as required and, where required, ask for your consent before the new price applies.
4. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Android devices that you own or control, for your personal or internal business use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
5. Your content
- You own the text you type and dictate, your vocabulary, instructions and other content you put into the Service (“Your Content”).
- You give us a limited license to host, store, copy, transmit and process Your Content only as needed to operate the Service for you — for example, to save your dictation history and to send your voice to the speech engine you chose.
- You are responsible for Your Content and for having the right to use it. Do not dictate or record other people's words where the law requires their consent unless you have it.
6. Transcription and AI features
- Transcriptions may contain errors. Speech engines can mishear words, names and numbers, and optional clean-up can change a word you meant to keep. Review your text before you send it, especially messages, e-mail and anything important.
- Clean-up (your vocabulary spelled right, obvious grammar fixed, optional tone) runs only when you turn it on.
- Transcriptions and clean-up are not professional advice and must not be relied on where a mistake could cause harm, including for emergencies.
- Use voice dictation only where it is safe and lawful. Obey traffic laws and do not interact with your screen while driving.
- Cloud speech engines and cloud clean-up are used only after you allow AI features in the app, and you can change that at any time under Privacy & AI.
7. Third-party services
Voice features rely on services provided by third parties, including Meta, Microsoft, Google, OpenAI, xAI, Cerebras and Anthropic, GIF search by KLIPY, and infrastructure from Google Firebase and Google Play. Their availability, behavior and pricing are outside our control. We may add, change or remove engines, models or features at any time, and a feature may be temporarily unavailable if a provider is. Your phone's on-device recognizer remains available as an alternative where your device supports it.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Service for anything illegal, harmful, fraudulent, harassing or infringing; access or try to access anyone else's account or data, or probe, scan or test the Service's security without our written permission; interfere with or overload the Service, or access it by automated means; reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, except where the law expressly permits it; use the Service to build a competing product, or resell, sublicense or share access to it; or use the Service to record or transcribe anyone without the consent the law requires.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service reliable, but it may be interrupted, changed or discontinued, in whole or in part, at any time. We may update the app to fix problems, add features or comply with the law. Voice dictation with a cloud engine requires a network connection.
10. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, text and graphics (but not Your Content), is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement and accuracy. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that transcriptions or clean-up will be accurate, or that data will never be lost. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or opportunity, arising out of or relating to the Service — including from a message or other text sent with a transcription error — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the subscription in the 12 months before the claim arose, or US$10. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your mandatory rights as a consumer where you live.
13. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms or of anyone else's rights.
14. Termination
- You can stop using the Service at any time, remove the keyboard in Android Settings, and delete your account and its data in the app: Account → Delete account.
- We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Where reasonable, we will tell you first.
- Ending your account does not cancel your Google Play subscription — cancel it in the Play Store.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where the law where you live requires otherwise.
16. Changes to these Terms
If these Terms change, we will update the date above and, if the change is material, tell you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the new Terms.
